Celebrities rarely follow tradition. The latest trend among Hollywood
A-listers? Announcing a pregnancy right after an engagement. Our
favorite red carpet regulars are not only brides-to-be but moms-to-be as
well, adding an extra bundle of joy to the excitement of the journey
towards the altar.
Famous faces foregoing standard wedding conventions is nothing new: Jennifer Garner was actually four months pregnant with baby Violet when she and Ben Affleck tied the knot all the way back in 2005.
Aside from expectant brides like Drew Barrymore and Savannah Guthrie, celebrities are also announcing family additions post-nuptials. Stacy Keibler just revealed the news that she has a little surprise coming this summer, as did Kelly Clarkson swiftly following her Nashville wedding to Brandon Blackstock. Both ladies alluded to having kids in the media prior to tying the knot, so we can only imagine how thrilled they must be.
Here, a master list of blushing celebrity brides-and-mommies-to-be. Although starting a family is no doubt a very personal choice, we must admit these famous and expectant brides have an added glow. (Hellooo, did you see how gorgeous Ciara looked at her baby shower?!) And if you choose to make like Jessica Simpson and postpone the wedding until after the baby is born, that makes for an even more special family-filled ceremony.
